A lot of important information gets said in WebEx meetings (I hope). So you may want to record your meeting for the benefit of people who couldn’t attend or were having technical trouble during the meeting. Fortunately, you can record WebEx meetings. Keep in mind that if you want to be able to play or edit your recording in another outside of WebEx, you’ll need to select the option to download your recording as a WMF file.
Another issue that sometimes come


s up is what if you’re using WebEx for the visual portion of the meeting only? If you’re using a separate conference line, WebEx can only record what’s happening on the screen and not what people are saying. There’s a simple workaround though, if at least one of the people in the conference is using a VoIP phone. Some software-based IP phones, such as X-Lite, allow you to record the conversation. Then you can combine the audio and visual with video editing software. (You can download X-Lite free from www.counterpath.com.)
